Lions Club of Milton Keynes Central has donated£85 towards a table for the District 105A Senior Citizen Party .

Fellow Lions,
A big thank you to all the Lions and Leos from the 55 clubs involved in the biggest service activity of our District yesterday at Harrow Leisure Centre.  We were most fortunate to have good weather with no rain and some sunshine.
The total attendance of over 850 people including 700 plus guests with helpers and carers was indicative of the continued support for this party.  Our guests including a 96 year old senior enjoyed the tea party, friendship, excellent entertainment from eastern to western music, magicians etc with delicious food prepared by our own Lions and other lady helpers. We did not see anyone leaving the hall until 5 p.m. when the programme ended having started 3 hours earlier although some of our guests arrived at 1 p.m.  All praised the hospitality and friendly help of the Lions looking after the guests.
The overwhelming response has been most favourable and the SCC Committee appreciate the many messages and are relieved that their hard work over the months has given so many of the elders in our community a few hours of pleasure.
The words of one lady summed up the party:
“I have had a most enjoyable afternoon.  I hope I am alive to come next year”.
Please invite your guests again for next year’s party.
Once again we appreciate the support and help provided by all to make this event a success.
